Hello! So who is Chris Ansoff?
Actor, improvisor and voiceover talent. I have done community theater on and off since I was an undergraduate. One of my funnest rolls was playing Garry Lejeune in Noises Off where I got to fall down a flight of stairs each performance. I have been doing improv for over eight years at Finest City Improv in San Diego where I am currently a house member. I have narrated over 16 audiobooks on Audible.
World traveler. My high school years were spent living in Brussels, Belgium where I did a lot of traveling with my family. That instilled in me the travel bug and I love to travel and experience new cultures when I can. I have been able to visit South Africa (where I got to pet a cheetah and they have a loud purr!), Australia, and a larger portion of Europe. My most recent trip was to St. Martin where I did a week cruise on a catamaran sailing boat.
Father. I am a widower with two amazing sons who make me proud each and every day. I also own 3 wonderful cats.
Volunteer. I have been a Make-A-Wish wish granter volunteer for over a decade and every wish child and their families I have worked with are so amazing. I also volunteer at my local Humane Society as a cat companion where a major part of the job is petting cats (someone has to do it…)
Gamer. Ever since I was a kid, I have enjoyed playing board games and eventually computer games (yes, I am old enough to remember when the original Pong came out). My sons swear that I never lose a game of Ticket to Ride when I play them but I think it is just an excuse not to play that game.
Tour Director. I have lead travel groups in Italy and Ireland/Scotland. I currently lead student groups around the east coast to cities like Washington DC, NYC and Boston.
Other stuff. Love to travel! I was a software engineer in my early years. Love to read science fiction and fantasy. Enjoy baking cookies, brownies and cakes. I took ballroom dance lessons for many years and really enjoy a good waltz.
